Formal Statement

In March 31, 2011 Marana Police Volunteers Incorporated (aka Marana Police Volunteers Foundation) was recognized as a public charity organization by the Internal Revenue Service under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. As such, contributions made to the corporation are deductible under section 170 of the code. EIN (Employee Identification Number) 27-2867069.

The purpose of the Marana Police Foundation is to exclusively provide instruction, training and assistance to the public in the areas of citizen education, crime prevention, neighborhood and personal safety, security and other topics and areas relating to police and safety, as an auxiliary to a volunteer organization under the authority of the Police Department for the Town of Marana, Pima County, Arizona (“Marana Police Volunteers”) during normal times and during emergencies.

The mission of the Marana Police Foundation is to support the Marana Police Volunteers as it in turn assists the Marana Police Department in carrying out its responsibilities to the citizens of Marana.
