The Town of Marana recognizes the value of the Police Volunteers and supports the program by providing extensive training, patrol vehicles, fuel and maintenance, support equipment, basic uniforms, and safety equipment. However, there is a need for additional uniform and support equipment to increase patrol effectiveness and provide personnel safety, and help reduce response time to priority situations. Some examples:

• Uniform duty belts, radio and flashlight holders
• Child ID computers and supplies
• Jump suits for rapid response
• Flashlights
• “Rapid Response” kits
• Cameras
• GPS units
